In terms of school coursework, I took an elective course called "Understanding Consumer Behavior." In this course, only the first class required us to go to the classroom to meet our team members and understand the syllabus. The final class required us to present our team's business concept through pitching to the professor and invited digital product experts and CEOs from a Finnish company (acting as investor sharks for evaluation). Although the course schedule seemed relaxed and flexible, it actually required us to find sufficient time outside of class to thoroughly analyze and discuss the entire process from product conception to sales. For me, the most challenging aspect was not just coming up with the product idea, but also effectively communicating in English with team members from different European countries, each with different accents, and ensuring I had a sense of participation. Throughout the process, I often felt like there were many walls between myself and my teammates, as if people from different worlds were forced to be tied together and understand each other. However, perhaps this is what it means to step out of one's comfort zone and recognize one's own shortcomings and differences through interacting with people from different cultural backgrounds. During this process, my English might not have been as fluent as theirs, but by thoroughly preparing what I wanted to express, not being afraid of being perceived as having poor English, and not letting my cultural background become a source of pressure, I was able to gain confidence and even earn the favor of my teammates.(260字)

(三)生活環境

During my time as an exchange student, I was fortunate to experience many Finnish cultural activities. From traditional saunas to modern music festivals, from winter skiing to summer picnics by the lake, each activity deeply impressed upon me the sincerity and simplicity of this country, and also sparked my love for nature. Here, I had ample time and space for solitude, allowing me to reflect on life, examine myself, and manage my daily life. Growing up in the fast-paced city of Taipei, these moments were an unparalleled luxury. The slow, almost retirement-like pace of Finnish life made me increasingly aware of my emotions and perceptions, magnifying them. Even though time continued to pass, this environment allowed me to stop and ponder life at any moment, without the pressure to conform to societal expectations. Instead, I could focus on myself, nourish my soul, and listen to the true voice within me.(150字)

(四)自我成長

The calm, reserved, yet sincere nature of the Finnish people has left a profound impression on me during these several months. My Finnish friend embodies these traits perfectly. Once, he took me rock climbing. Even though I couldn't reach the top after attempting many climbing routes and often found myself hanging in mid-air, gripping the rocks with my hands and feet, and eventually descending without success, my Finnish friend would still praise me highly. He emphasized how difficult and impressive it was to be suspended in the air. This kind of support and encouragement made me feel the Finnish appreciation for others' efforts. They tend to see others' strengths and do not completely dismiss someone's value due to mistakes or failures. This attitude is also reflected in Finland's education system, which emphasizes giving students trust and opportunities. Professors not only impart knowledge but also encourage students to learn and think independently. They give students ample freedom to explore their interests and understand and forgive their mistakes during the learning process. This tolerant learning environment allows students to face challenges more confidently and gain a wealth of experience.(187字)

(五)大三出國建議

It is unrealistic to expect a brief one-year experience to transform me into my ideal self, but all the encounters in Europe have allowed me to face challenges more calmly and to immerse myself in solitude, enjoying the state of being alone. I spent the last year of my student life in Northern Europe, a place that once seemed unreachable but now is so close. As I prepare to leave this once unfamiliar but now familiar land, my heart is filled with gratitude and reluctance. I am grateful for the resources provided by both schools and the support from my family, and even more grateful for my persistent pursuit of dreams along the way. At this moment, everything still feels surreal, and it's hard to believe that this exchange journey is coming to an end. Goodbye, Finland. Goodbye, my 22-year-old self, filled with memories. May each day in the future carry the beautiful memories of this period, helping me to embrace new challenges and stride towards a brilliant future. To future exchange students, I want to say: be brave to explore, to experience, and to enjoy this rare period. Every experience is precious, and they will become unforgettable moments in your life. No matter what challenges you face, believe in yourself, as this journey will bring you endless possibilities.(219字)
