2023大三出國輔導通報系統 - 留學心得報告[編輯]

(一)基本資料

Vytautas Magnus University, Lithuania. 2023/8~2024/6 Philosophy, japanese level 1&2, Survey of American Literature(1), Chinese Language and Culture, Media and popular culture, Art of East Asia, English B2, Computer Networks, Audiovisual Communication and Scriptwriting. The course design here is incredibly flexible, providing me with a wide range of options. The specialized courses cover various topics, and the professors are both professional and enthusiastic. What impressed me the most is the number of practical elective courses offered by the school, such as Model United Nations and Intercultural Communication. These courses are not only rich in theory but also offer many hands-on opportunities, allowing us to apply our knowledge in real-world situations. Additionally, the classroom atmosphere is very dynamic, with professors encouraging students to ask questions and engage in discussions. This interactive teaching approach has greatly benefited me.(140字) (133字)

(二)課程學習

One of my favorite classes is Audiovisual Communication and Scriptwriting class. This course contributes to the students’ general knowledge about script writing for audiovisual projects, i.e. for TV, radio, Internet based projects as well as films. The Course explores the transformation of the texts when they are taken to the screen,differentiating writing conventions from television, radio and print, the relationship between the reader/ viewer and the text. The course is designed to help you learn the formats and terminology necessary to learn effective audiovisual script writing. The course will provide multiple writing assignments, therefore students will be able to analyze, create and present writing samples for a variety of media outlets. The reason why i choose this course due to the professor is a really nice guy, not only his personality but also he take his job really seriously. Besides that I enjoy and emerge into the world of audiovision and scriptwriting. (256字) (154字)

(三)生活環境

Lithuania has a temperate continental climate with distinct seasons. Autumn and spring are mild, summer is warm without being too hot, and winter is extremely cold with frequent snowfall. Experiencing temperatures below -10 degrees Celsius for the first time was completely new to me. The cityscape covered in snow is both spectacular and charming. This weather gave me the chance to try skiing and ice sports, activities that are hard to come by in Taiwan. Generally, its convenient. The dorm I live in is called Vytauto Didžiojo universitetas - VDU bendrabutis Nr. 2 – „Baltija”. Around the dorm,there's a bank about a 13-minute walk away for banking needs. For everyday essentials, you can walk about 11 minutes to reach the large Maxima supermarket. Near the dorms, close to the St. Michael the Archangel Church, there's a ŠILAS supermarket, which is about a 22-minute walk away. The bus stop is just a 3-minute walk and you can catch buses going to the train station. The train station itself is about a 15-minute walk away. It takes about 10 minutes on foot to reach the main campus located in the city center. Campus Buildings were spared around the city, for newcomers definitely a nightmare are quite frustrated to find the class because there's too many buildings. But lucky for me, my course didn’t need to run too many places. (226字)

(四)自我成長

Studying at Vytautas Magnus University has been a huge growth experience for me. I've not only learned academically but also grown as a person. The environment here really pushes you to think critically and independently. The professors are supportive and encourage you to explore new ideas. Living in Kaunas itself has broadened my horizons. It's a vibrant city with so much history and culture to soak in. Being surrounded by classmates from different backgrounds has taught me how to adapt and understand different perspectives. The university offers a lot of flexibility in courses, which allows me to tailor my studies to my interests. Whether it's in class or through extracurricular activities, I've gained practical skills and made lifelong friends. Overall, Vytautas Magnus University has shaped me into a more confident and open-minded individual. I've learned to navigate challenges independently and embrace new experiences with enthusiasm. It's an experience that I know will continue to influence my personal and professional life long after I leave. (164字)

(五)大三出國建議

If you ever have the chance to study in Vytautas Magnus University, Lithuania. is definitely worth it. The school provides a 34 credit range that international students can study per semester. In theory, it's important to plan ahead and double-check with the professors about the course syllabus to avoid any surprises. Otherwise just pick the ones you need to transfer ceridt and the rest depends on you. No need to study Lithuanian because most people there can speak very decent English, well ... besides old people. When you come there you need to be mentally prepared because you may be the only Asian around the campus and in class . Especially when living in the dorm. My advice is be yourself and consider this as a great opportunity to walk out of your Taiwanese friend zone. After taking that important first step, you'll meet people from all over the world and learn about all sorts of different things and cultures. Just take the initiative to chat with others and make friends, you can get to know a lot of different people. That truly will change your world view. Don’t worry about your personality, people are really friendly and willing to make friends with you. Other suggestions I will give are these: Winters are really cold, so make sure to bring plenty of thermal clothes. It starts getting chilly in October. Don’t bring too many personal items with you. I recommend staying at Vytautas Magnus University Dormitory No. 2 – "Baltija" (aka the second dorm) because it has great amenities, convenient transportation, and is super close to the main campus. Avoid VDU Dormitory No. 5; it’s really out of the way, takes 25 minutes to get to the city center, and the bus service is scarce and inconvenient . The area is very safe, and most people speak English, though older folks might not. So, no need to worry too much about language barriers. (318字)

1. less hang out with your taiwanese companion. Don't forget the main purpose of studying aboard. 2. don't recomand to bring entertainment stuff 3.To clearify, i'm not having a strong discrimination but look pout for black people and brown people when you are in public. 95% they are thief. (46字)
