In all of the courses, my favorite course is Food and Beverage Service. Unlike most of the courses in ICMS, this course contains theoretical knowledge and practical skills covering coffee preparation, table etiquette, and table service, among other topics. The instructor’s teaching methods were engaging and effective, combining detailed theoretical explanations with extensive practical exercises. For example, when he was teaching us how to make the coffee, the instructor demonstrated each step and guided us through the process one-on-one to make sure we truly understood the process of making coffee and using the correct techniques. The table etiquette and table service sections included simulated scenarios, allowing us to practice and apply what we learned in the future internship place. During the course, I encountered several challenges, like the quality of milk foam, and even the latte art initially difficult. However, with the professor's guidance and continuous practice, I gradually mastered the necessary skills in Food & Beverage. Additionally, the demands of table etiquette and table service required focus and attention to detail, including napkin folding, a la carte table setup, and how to present the dishes, which I improved through repeated simulation exercises with my classmates The professor also arranged a wonderful field trip, where we visited several famous bars and restaurants, such as Four Pines, and also visited a local brewery. In the brewery, we not only learned about the beer brewing process but also had the opportunity to taste various beers with different flavors. In addition to this, we also participated in wine-tasting activities, which gave us a deeper understanding of wine knowledge and the ability to personally experience the unique flavors of different wines. This field trip gave us a comprehensive and rich understanding of beverage culture, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Overall, this Food and Beverage service course provided me with useful knowledge and practical skills, which greatly benefited me during my internship. I am appreciative of the instructor’s dedication and thorough instruction. This learning experience will be an initial foundation for hospitality or the Food and beverage industry.(346字)

ICMS, the International College of Management Sydney, is an iconic traditional sandstone Northern Beaches Campus, affectionately called the “castle on the hill”, which offers sweeping views over Manly Beach. I lived at ICMS for about three months and it was a comfortable and laid-back place, perfect for studying and living. The school is only a 10-minute walk to the beach and Coles supermarket. If you don't want to walk, you can also take a school bus or local bus to these places. However, if you want to go to the city center, you have to take the ferry, which takes about 25 minutes to get there. During my time at ICMS, I felt that the environment here was very friendly and convenient. The campus is surrounded by trees and has a strong learning atmosphere. On weekends, I often go for walks on the beach and enjoy the sunshine and sea breeze. About daily necessities, Coles provides a wide range of daily necessities and food, which provides great convenience to our lives. And the ferry ride is my favorite part. On the ferry, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Sydney Harbor, which makes every trip special and enjoyable. However, taking the ferry on a rainy day will be more exciting, just like playing on an amusement ride, which makes people feel a different kind of fun. Overall, my life experience at ICMS was fulfilling and enjoyable. It not only improved my learning efficiency but also allowed me to experience Australia's unique lifestyle. (251字)

Speak of the Challenge I faced, there are too many things that can be mentioned, like eating habits, language barriers, and the fact that it was my first time traveling abroad without my family. In addition, I am relatively introverted, which makes me often feel nervous when making friends and interacting with guests at work. First, the difference in eating habits is a big challenge. The food culture in foreign countries is very different from what I am used to, which made it difficult for me to adapt at first. The taste and preparation of many foods are different from what I usually eat. Sometimes I can’t even find familiar foods, which makes me miss the taste of my hometown very much. Secondly, the language barrier is also a big difficulty. Although I have learned some English, communication still becomes difficult in an all-English environment. Especially when I need to have in-depth conversations or express complex ideas, I often feel that I cannot express myself with words, which makes me feel very stressed both in the study and in life when it comes to small talk with native speakers. In addition, this is my first time living alone outside my family, and this feeling of loneliness is also a huge challenge. Without the support and company of my family, I have to face and solve many things by myself, which makes me feel very uneasy. Nonetheless, I learned a lot from these challenges. I learned how to better adapt to the new environment, how to overcome language barriers to communicate effectively, and how to solve problems independently without the support of my family. Most importantly, I learned how to face my introversion and work hard to get out of my comfort zone to make new friends and adapt to a new work environment. These experiences have made me stronger and more independent, and also laid a solid foundation for my future life and work. (325字)

I do have some pieces of advice for the juniors who are coming this year. I would like to begin with the preparation before coming here. As Australia is situated in the southern hemisphere which makes the weather season totally upside down with the result of having the hottest Christmas and something like that. You may have to bring more jackets and sweaters as it is going to be freezingly cold when you first come here. Other than that, do not take any other unnecessary items in your luggage as your belongings are getting more and more as day goes by here. In addition to the items that needed to be prepared, I also would like to advocate the importance of having the courage to explore, make attempts, dare to fail and be peaceful with the results as not everything will go as smooth as you think that will go in your picture. About what I say about making attempts, some examples will be listed as followed. Firstly, for me, I have never been a challenger taker, however, I printed some of my CV to walk around Manly town and actually went ask if they are hiring one by one. Thanks to the actions I took back then, I am now already a student with a six-month working experience in a Japanese sushi takeaway restaurant, knowing how to make sushi, doing the cashier and even introducing every single one of our products specifically. Second and lastly, always talk as much as you can when you have the chance. (258字)
