One of my favorite classes is Introduction of Tourism. The teacher's name is Jane Lee. In this class, not only can we learn about the operation of the tourism industry, but the teacher also directly takes us to a hotel and asks the hotel manager to introduce us to the entire hotel's facilities and give us detailed information. Talk about the differences between vivid room types. In terms of assessment, what impressed me most was the first homework. The teacher invited us to eat in our own chosen restaurant. We observed the decorations in the restaurant, the background music, the service attitude of the waiters, and whether the food was delicious. The homework asked us to write about the advantages and disadvantages of restaurants. On the other hand, for assessment 2(group assessment), the teacher asked us to research transportation, accommodations, and attractions of one city. This research helps us to know the culture of different countries. My second favorite class is event planning, this class lets me know how to organize a big event and what to do when people want to hold the event. For event planning assessments, assessment 1 asked us to introduce and analyze the event that we attended before. Assessment 3 is to create an event, apply what we learned in class to this assignment. The class I most recommend is bar and mixology. This class mainly introduces various types of bartending, and the teacher will teach how to make bartending and perform practical exercises. More importantly, the teacher will also use class time to take students to visit actual wineries. Although I have not studied in this class, I was able to visit a winery by chance. At that time, we were even able to use the winery’s wine to make cocktails. This experience may not be experienced in Taiwan. (304字)

(三)生活環境

The school is located on Manly Beach near Sydney. people need to take a ferry from downtown Sydney and take a bus up the mountain (but it is difficult to wait for the bus and are often late, so usually must walk up the mountain for at least 15 minutes). Although it is far away from downtown Sydney, taking my friend and I as an example, we have classes three days a week, and the remaining four days are allocated to doing homework and going to the city. Supermarkets and restaurants are walking down the hill from the school, which is convenient in terms of daily life functions, and Manly Beach is stunning. The student dormitory is right inside the school, so it is very convenient during class. The classroom is just downstairs. The school also provides meals, and the washing machine and dryer are free. If I must talk about the shortcomings, first, the sound insulation of the room is quite poor. If People who are used to going to bed early may not be able to accept it. Secondly, school meals are sometimes very bad. My friends and I ate everything, but during those three months at school, we were often starving and had to run down the mountain to buy something to eat. The school also holds many activities, parties, barbecues, etc., so there are many opportunities to meet people from various countries. The weather in Sydney is very very good. In winter, it is pretty cold in the early morning and evening, but it is warm at noon and afternoon because of the sun. In summer, it is not as sultry as in Taipei, but ultraviolet rays in Australia are very harmful, so people need to wear sunscreen. (291字)

(四)自我成長

In terms of self-growth, I divide it into three aspects. First, when I am in school, I have a lot of homework, so I need to allocate time to write it. If submit it late, students will be severely deducted. If students play too crazy, they may be pawned, which is a huge waste of tuition. Second, because the course ends in mid-December, I must find a house in the city, a place for an internship, arrange interviews, and start the internship in mid-November. In October, my friend and I were under a lot of pressure. We had to do school assessments, find an apartment, and have a lot of internship interviews. Because the Australian official efficiency was poor, the waiting time for the offer was very difficult, and because it was in urban Sydney, house rents are very high compared to other cities, and it was very difficult to find a cheap and furnished house. After moving out of school, we had to do everything by ourselves. The house my friend and I looked for at first was relatively expensive, so the expenses were very high. But I have to say that my stress resistance has become very high, and my life skills have also grown accordingly. Because eating out every day will cost a lot of money, so I almost cook by myself, and unlike Taiwan, there is no health insurance here. , it is very expensive to see a doctor when I am sick, so I eat healthily. Third, internship. I think I grew the most during this period of internship. The place I interned was as a waiter in a restaurant of the Marriott Hotel. My spoken English improved very quickly. The guests were almost all foreigners, and even though my colleagues all had Asian faces, but the conversations were all in English. Although it is very tiring during the internship, it will be okay if you get used to it. All in all, the self-growth I feel most about now is that my stress tolerance has improved, my English conversation has improved, my life skills have improved, and my organizational skills have gotten better and better.(360字)

There are two points that I think are very important. First, you should never look for a house that costs more than 450AUD per week. Although the internship salary is very high(around 25AUD per hour before tax), the accumulated rent will be a very considerable figure. If you want to save money this year, it is best to look for a house with a low price per week. For a house that costs less than 450AUD, you can share a suite with friends (There are many suites in Australia). The house does not include water and electricity. It is better if it does. The living functions near the house are also very important. Supermarkets and public transportation must be available. The most important thing is you must see the house in person before you rent it ! You can only tell if you like the house you choose by seeing it in person. Second, you must find an internship you like. Whether it is a hotel or a restaurant, the working environment must be one you feel comfortable with, such as managers and colleagues. If you don’t like the working environment, life will be very difficult, even though it is part time. , but the working hours and work schedules are very similar to Taiwan's regular jobs (taking me in Sydney as an example, Sydney hotels basically have no off-season, so the work schedule is almost full, and I have at least two days off a week).(247字)
