This course covers topics related to information warfare, fake news, and deepfakes, which are modern threats to international security. The professor often shares cultural activities from Poland, such as the city of Wrocław, known for having the largest Christmas market. Additionally, on November 1st, All Saints' Day, Poles go to cemeteries to light candles, a very grand tradition. The course details include the professor's desire for us to discuss international events together, such as the relationship between Ukraine and Russia, as well as the relationship between Palestine and Israel. Through these discussions, we can gain a deeper understanding of how information warfare, fake news, and deepfakes affect these regions and international security. The professor also wants us to discuss each country's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). She hopes that every representative will present their findings. Many major countries have numerous goals and achievements to share. However, when it comes to our own country, we seem to lag behind internationally. During our research, we found that Taiwan participates in these initiatives less frequently. Throughout the semester, the professor also teaches many fundamental topics, such as the COVID-19 virus and details about various viruses that cause human fatalities. Additionally, she introduces basic climate knowledge and information about international organizations. In addition to these core topics, the professor also emphasizes the importance of critical thinking and media literacy. She encourages students to critically analyze the sources of their information and to be aware of biases in media reporting. This skill is particularly important in the context of information warfare and fake news, where misinformation can have significant real-world consequences. The course also includes providing students with diverse perspectives on the issues discussed. Our professor often covers current events and case studies, allowing students to apply the theoretical knowledge gained in class to real-world situations. This approach not only enhances understanding but also prepares students for careers in international relations, journalism, and other fields where these issues are relevant. Moreover, the professor assigns group projects that require students to collaborate and present their findings on specific topics related to the course. These projects foster teamwork and communication skills, which are essential for professional success. By working together, students can learn from each other and develop a more comprehensive understanding of the complex issues surrounding information warfare, fake news, and international security. Overall, this course provides a thorough examination of modern threats to international security, blending theoretical knowledge with practical applications. Through lectures, discussions, and group projects, students are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to navigate and address the challenges posed by information warfare and related phenomena. (三)生活環境

I live in the heart of Warsaw, where daily life is incredibly convenient. I rent a house with my TKU classmates, and it is Rental property that fully meets our needs.Within a mere 3-minute walk from my home, there's a supermarket, and there is a direct bus to the airport, much like living in Taipei. While Asian cuisine options are limited here, prices are similar to those in Taiwan, allowing for cooking at home or dining out. Public transportation isn't as extensive as Taipei's, but we do benefit from night buses that run 24/7, and taxis are relatively affordable. The weather is pleasant in summer, with temperatures that are just right—not too hot or cold. However, winters are a stark contrast with snowfall and freezing temperatures that can make going outdoors challenging. During winter, I rely on a warm down jacket to stay comfortable. For my daily commute to school, I usually take the metro, which conveniently links directly to the city center and old town where my school is located. Despite the cold winters, I enjoy exploring the nearby areas after classes, taking in the charm of the historic city center. Overall, living in Warsaw offers a blend of convenience and seasonal challenges, making each day an adventure in adapting to the city's unique rhythms and offerings. (219字)

Daily life at Warsaw University is generally manageable for me. Most classes are conducted in English by professors, which is convenient for international students. However, a challenge I've noticed is the size of the lecture halls and the lack of microphones used by professors. This sometimes makes it difficult to hear clearly, especially when the room is noisy. I often find myself straining to hear when professors call out my name. In terms of coursework and exams, I find them reasonably challenging but not overwhelming. Professors typically aim to support students rather than make things unnecessarily difficult. There's also a cultural difference in class participation expectations compared to Asia, where students are more passive in class. Living in Warsaw is generally comfortable, except for the harsh winters. The cold weather and short daylight hours can be quite challenging, often leading to a desire to stay indoors. Despite this, getting outside for a walk is important for mental well-being. Culturally, adjusting has been smooth. People in Warsaw are generally friendly, and there is a nice custom of exchanging greetings even in brief encounters, like at convenience stores. This warmth in daily interactions is something I appreciate about living here.(198字)

If someone is interested in European countries, I highly recommend Poland. The cost of living is comparable to Taiwan, which makes it very convenient. Poland's central location in Europe makes it easy and affordable to travel to neighboring countries by train or plane. Budget airlines are prevalent in Europe, and it is possible to find flights for less than 1000 TWD, which is significantly cheaper than flying from Taiwan to Europe. I believe this accessibility is a major advantage as it allows you to explore new parts of the world without breaking the bank. Living in Poland also enhances your adaptability skills, as unexpected situations may arise. This experience is valuable and not commonly encountered in Taiwan. Another positive aspect of Poland is its safety; I find it comparable to Taipei, despite the common perception of Europe having poorer safety. Throughout my year here, I haven't encountered any incidents of theft, which has contributed to my positive experience. Overall, studying or living in Poland offers a blend of affordability, cultural richness, and safety that makes it an excellent choice for those interested in exploring Europe. (184字)

Once, when I was traveling to Slovakia, I made the mistake of not paying attention to the station names. In a rush, I hailed a taxi and unfortunately encountered a scam taxi. The 20-minute ride ended up costing me 4000 TWD. It's a real lesson not to flag down taxis on the street; using a mobile app to book a ride is much safer and more reliable.(66字)
