【照片說明:Culinary class】

My favorite class was culinary class in ICHM. Culinary class is something I enjoy for many reasons, both practical and personal. One of the primary reasons I love it is because it allows me to be creative in a hands-on way. Cooking isn’t just about following recipes; it’s an art form where I can experiment with flavors, textures, and presentations. In a culinary class, I have the opportunity to explore different ingredients and cooking techniques, which helps me to develop my own unique style of cooking. This creative freedom makes every session exciting. Another reason I like culinary class is that it teaches valuable life skills. Knowing how to cook is essential for maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and through this class, I learn how to prepare balanced meals. I gain a deeper understanding of nutrition, which helps me make better food choices. Additionally, cooking for myself and others instills a sense of responsibility and independence. I know that these skills will benefit me for the rest of my life. Working alongside classmates to prepare meals fosters teamwork and communication. We share ideas, solve problems together, and celebrate each other’s successes. The collaborative nature of the class helps build friendships and creates a positive learning environment. It’s rewarding to see how food brings people together, not only in the kitchen but also at the dining table. Finally, culinary class introduces me to different cultures. Every dish has a story behind it, and learning to cook dishes from around the world broadens my perspective. It’s fascinating to see how different regions use ingredients and techniques, and it makes me appreciate the diversity of global cuisine. This cultural appreciation deepens my love for cooking and motivates me to continue exploring new recipes.(294字)

My school in Adelaide was ICHM. It’s doesn’t fell like a school it’s more like office. The space is clean and the teachers are nice, overall, it’s not bad. The weather makes Adelaide a year-round destination, with something to offer in every season. When it comes to food, Adelaide is a hub for fresh produce and world-class dining. Known as the “20-minute city” due to its compact nature, you’re never far from a great meal. The city is surrounded by wine regions like the Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale, making it a paradise for wine lovers. Adelaide’s Central Market is a must-visit, offering a diverse selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses, and gourmet products. Whether you’re looking for fine dining at places like Orana or enjoying street food at one of the city’s many festivals, there’s something to satisfy every palate. Entertainment in Adelaide is also top-notch, with a mix of cultural, sporting, and outdoor activities. The city hosts the famous Adelaide Festival, which attracts artists and performers from around the globe. Music lovers can enjoy live performances at WOMADelaide, a world music festival held annually. If you’re into sports, Adelaide Oval is the place to be for cricket and Australian rules football. For a more relaxed day, you can visit the city’s beautiful parks and gardens or take a short drive to nearby beaches like Glenelg. Whether you’re into food, festivals, or outdoor fun, Adelaide has a rich variety of entertainment to offer.(257字)

I didn’t encounter any problems during my life or school. I get used to it and i like the culture their so no culture shock for me. The only thing is special is Christmas in Australia. Since Christmas falls during the Australian summer, it’s typically hot and sunny, a stark contrast to the snowy winter celebrations in countries like the United States or Europe. This has led to a variety of cultural differences in how Australians celebrate the holiday. One of the most noticeable differences is that many Australians prefer to celebrate Christmas outdoors. Instead of staying indoors by the fireplace, Australians often head to the beach, parks, or have backyard barbecues. Popular activities include swimming, surfing, or even having a festive picnic by the sea. This creates a relaxed, informal atmosphere that reflects Australia’s love for the outdoors and easygoing lifestyle. Traditional Christmas foods also take on a summery twist. While some still enjoy a classic roast, seafood—especially prawns—and cold salads are often featured on the menu due to the hot weather. It’s common to enjoy chilled desserts like pavlova or fruit-based treats instead of heavier winter fare. In terms of cultural differences, Christmas in Australia is less commercialized than in some other countries, with a stronger focus on spending time with family and friends. Despite this, Christmas decorations, caroling, and the exchanging of gifts remain common. Interestingly, the image of Santa Claus in a red suit persists, even though the weather is far from snowy. In recent years, some Australians have embraced “Christmas in July” to enjoy a wintery celebration similar to that in the Northern Hemisphere.(275字)

Studying abroad is an exciting and enriching experience, but it can also come with challenges. Here are a few key pieces of advice to help you make the most of your time abroad. First, embrace the cultural differences. You’ll be immersed in a new environment, so it’s important to stay open-minded and respectful of different customs, languages, and traditions. Take the opportunity to learn from locals, try new foods, and participate in cultural activities. It will enrich your experience and help you better understand the world. Next, manage your time wisely. Balancing academic work with exploring a new country can be tricky. Create a schedule that allows you to stay on top of your studies while leaving room for travel and socializing. Prioritize important assignments, but also make time to explore your host city and nearby destinations—you don’t want to miss out on the unique experiences available to you. Staying connected with both your home and host country is also important. Keep in touch with family and friends back home for support, but also build a new network in your host country. Make an effort to connect with fellow students, professors, and locals. These relationships can make your experience richer and may lead to lasting friendships. Finally, don’t be afraid to ask for help. Whether it’s academic guidance, navigating a new city, or adjusting to a new culture, there are always resources available, including your university’s international office. Studying abroad is a learning experience, so don’t hesitate to seek support when needed.(260字)
