(一)基本資料

I went to ICHM from 2023.7-2023.12 and had my internship in Brisbane from 2024.1-2024.7. ICHM is a School located in Adelaide. i had got 4 different kinds of lessons there which taught us how to become a professional hotel manager.(39字)

BBHM105 The first taste of culinary is my favorite class because it allows me to experience the joy of cooking and also teaches me many practical life skills. Every time I take a class, I feel the freedom and satisfaction of creation. Whether it’s learning basic knife skills or challenging complex recipes, cooking classes fill me with enthusiasm and motivation. The teacher was also full of patient and taught us again and again. During the lesson, I learned how to select fresh ingredients, mastered the characteristics of different ingredients, and understood their combinations. This knowledge not only helps me cook delicious dishes at home but also makes me appreciate food more and reduce waste. I also learned how to use kitchen utensils correctly, which is very important for cooking efficiency and ensuring safety. In addition, it also taught me the importance of teamwork. In class, I often need to work together with my classmates to complete exquisite dishes. This experience not only enhanced our friendship but also cultivated my communication skills and collaboration spirit. Whenever we successfully cook a delicious dish, I will never forget the sense of accomplishment. Cooking classes also taught me patience and focus. During the cooking process, every step requires careful operation, and a little carelessness may affect the final product. This taught me that everything takes effort and time to get the desired results. This kind of focused and patient training not only helped my cooking skills, but also benefited me a lot in other studies and life. All in all, BBHM105 allowed me to gain a wealth of knowledge and skills, and it also brought me endless fun. ICHM is a professional hotel management school. It adopts a small class system, usually no more than 20 people per class. The teachers are very attentive to the courses. When we were in Adelaide, the accommodation we chose was Scape Waymouth, which is about a 7-minute walk from the school. The environment was good but the price was on the high side, and the final cleaning fee was also very high. It takes about 15 minutes to walk from the dormitory to Queen Street Shopping Center, where there are many shops and large supermarkets. It is inevitable that there will be some discomfort when living in an unfamiliar country for a year for the first time. Whether it is life or language, everything is unfamiliar to us. How to overcome these difficulties determines the direction of our growth. First of all, when facing challenges in life, I learned to adjust my mentality and face problems positively. Whether it is academic pressure or troubles in life, I will try to analyze calmly, find out the root cause of the problem, and formulate corresponding solutions. This rational way of thinking helps me avoid emotional ups and downs and allows me to deal with difficulties more effectively. Secondly, asking for help is an important step in overcoming difficulties. When I encounter academic problems, I will take the initiative to ask teachers or classmates for advice. Through discussions and exchanges, I can often find new ideas and solutions. Similarly, in life, the support of family and friends also makes me feel no longer alone when facing difficulties. The strength of the collective can often bring unexpected help and encouragement, giving me the confidence to move forward. As for the experience of culture shock, I think this is a challenge that every cross-cultural communicator will face. When you first arrive in a new environment, you may feel uncomfortable due to the differences in language, habits and values. At this time, I will take the initiative to understand and learn the local culture, respect and adapt to the new environment, while maintaining my own cultural identity. This two-way adaptation process allowed me to gradually integrate into the new cultural environment and enrich my horizons in the process. In the face of culture shock, I also found that an open mind and a tolerant attitude are very important. By actively participating in local social activities, I met many new friends and gradually eliminated the feeling of strangeness. Communicating with people from different cultural backgrounds has taught me to see the world from a broader perspective and better understand the beauty of diversity. All in all, when facing difficulties in life and courses, as well as the challenges of culture shock, a positive attitude, asking for help, continuous learning and an open mind are the keys to overcoming these problems. (五)大三出國建議

I think Adelaide is a very suitable city to live in Australia for the first time. The security there is very good (although there are indigenous people hahaha), and the climate is also very pleasant. Adelaide is known as a 20-minute city, 20 minutes to the beach and 20 minutes to the mountains. The sky in South Australia is also very beautiful. I used to enjoy the beautiful sunset every day in the dormitory. ICHM is also a school suitable for those who want to become hotel managers. The teachers there are very patient. No matter what kind of questions you encounter, they will answer you very carefully. And I think half a year of study and half a year of internship is the way to go. Ideal for people who want to experience the atmosphere of working abroad. The intern teachers at ICHM are also very patient. No matter which hotel you want to go to, they will help us contact, inquire and arrange interviews. Before the official launch, they will also arrange mock interviews to let us adapt to the interview mode in advance, so that we can When it is officially launched, I will not be so nervous and will be less likely to make mistakes. During the mock interview, he will also clearly point out our questions, and you can also ask him some questions that you are unclear about. During this half-year study period, I advise my younger students to listen carefully in class and complete their homework seriously. If you really encounter academic difficulties, you can make an appointment with the school teachers to ask questions. They will be very happy to answer and solve our problems. problem. There will be about a week of mid-term vacation during the semester. I highly recommend using that week to travel to different cities. For example, we chose to travel by car with a group of friends to the center of Australia, "Uluru". It was very unforgettable. a journey. However, it is not recommended to travel by car if there are only one or two people, because many uninhabited areas in Australia have no signal at all, and it will be very dangerous if something happens. Finally, regarding the internship, I suggest you go to a big hotel, because if it is a small hotel, although you can learn a lot of different things, there will often be a problem of insufficient manpower, and you will be the only person in charge of everything. They will keep asking you to do it. The management of a small restaurant may also have big problems, which will cause disaster to the people below. The turnover rate of small restaurants is also higher than that of large hotels. A colleague may leave after working for 2 months. This will create a shortage of manpower and you may have to work overtime continuously. But if you really want to learn a lot of things, you can also try a small restaurant, because a person usually has to do a lot of things in a small restaurant, such as making coffee, room service, or doing functions, etc. thing. I think this may be of great help to those who want to become a hotel manager in the future.
