One of my favorite courses at ICHM was BBHM105. This course marked my first experience with a cooking class, which was both exciting and enlightening. I had always been interested in the culinary, but this was my first opportunity to dive deep into the world of cooking. In BBHM105, I not only learned various cooking techniques but also gained insight into the intricate workings of a restaurant's back-of-house operations. Understanding how a kitchen functions was eye-opening; I discovered the importance of teamwork, organization, and communication among staff. Each class involved hands-on experience, where we prepared different dishes, allowing me to apply what I learned in a practical setting. Moreover, the course emphasized the significance of timing and efficiency in a professional kitchen. I learned how to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while ensuring that every dish met high standards. This experience has fundamentally changed my perspective on food preparation and service. I now appreciate the skill and dedication that goes into every meal served in a restaurant. BBHM105 was not just about cooking; it was a comprehensive introduction to the hospitality industry. I developed essential skills that will serve me well in my future career. Overall, this course was a pivotal part of my studies, and it ignited my passion for the culinary field, inspiring me to explore further opportunities within the hospitality sector.(223字)

Adelaide ICHM is situated in a vibrant area of Adelaide, providing students with a stimulating learning environment. The campus features modern facilities, including well-equipped classrooms and practical training kitchens that enhance the educational experience for aspiring hospitality professionals. For accommodation, many students choose SCAPE Waymouth, which is conveniently located near the campus. SCAPE offers comfortable and contemporary living arrangements, fostering a sense of community among residents. The amenities include study areas, recreational spaces, and easy access to public transportation, making it ideal for students balancing academic and social lives. The surrounding area of Adelaide is known for its cultural diversity and rich history. Students can explore various attractions, including the Adelaide Central Market, museums, and beautiful parks. The city is also home to numerous restaurants, cafes, and bars, providing ample opportunities to experience local cuisine and nightlife. Adelaide enjoys a Mediterranean climate, characterized by warm, dry summers and mild, wet winters. This pleasant weather allows for year-round outdoor activities and events, enhancing the overall student experience. The city is also renowned for its festivals, including the Adelaide Fringe and WOMADelaide, which showcase art, music, and culture from around the world. Overall, studying at ICHM in Adelaide offers not only a solid academic foundation but also a rich cultural experience in a beautiful and welcoming city.(215字)

During my studies, I faced several challenges, particularly in daily life and coursework. One significant hurdle was my lack of cooking skills. At first, I struggled to prepare meals, relying heavily on expensive restaurants. To overcome this, I enrolled in simple cooking classes, which not only taught me essential cooking techniques but also deepened my understanding of ingredients and healthy eating. Another challenge was adapting to the local Australian accent. Initially, I found it difficult to understand my teachers and classmates, which was quite frustrating. However, I was determined to improve. I started listening to English radio and watching local TV shows to familiarize myself with the accent. Actively engaging in conversations with classmates also helped enhance my listening and speaking skills. These challenges made me more resilient and motivated me to seek solutions. Each obstacle became an opportunity for growth, boosting my confidence in both my studies and everyday life.(151字)

(五)大三出國建議

To my junior peers considering studying abroad, I highly encourage you to take the plunge. My year overseas has been an eye-opening experience that you simply can't replicate in Taiwan. The innovative teaching methods at my school challenged me to think critically and engage in hands-on learning, which greatly enhanced my education. Living abroad also introduced me to a unique lifestyle. I experienced different cultures, met people from diverse backgrounds, and learned to adapt to new environments. These experiences have not only broadened my perspective but have also helped me develop essential life skills. Interning while studying was another highlight of my journey. I encountered various situations that I had never faced before, which pushed me out of my comfort zone. This practical experience allowed me to apply what I learned in class to real-world scenarios, reinforcing my understanding of the hospitality industry. Overall, studying abroad is not just about academics; it's about personal growth and discovering who you are in a global context. Embrace the challenges and opportunities that come your way, and you will return with invaluable insights and memories that will last a lifetime.(187字)

I highly recommend everyone to try road tripping in Australia. The natural landscapes are stunning, from beautiful beaches to vast outback.
