The most interesting class was BBHM103, which combines theory and practice in this course, also the most challenging for me. We had theory classes at first, which talked about the history of wine, and how wine is produced, besides, we had a wine tasting in the classes and learned how to recognize the different types of wine and beers. The wine-tasting part was the most interesting of the whole course, it's a great experience to learn about wine by tasting so that we could know the different flavors of the wine, and it also helped me a lot in the practical shifts. The practical class also was the most challenging part of the course, the students would be placed in different settings including hotels, conferences, or restaurants, and have 60 hours of internships in these places, so that made sure we had enough ability to handle the next six months of the internships. I had an internship at the National Wine Central, which is a place for people hold big conferences such as weddings, the party, or business events, most of the job responsibilities were the food and beverage attendant, for example, serving the food and the wine, also because I had been placed in wine central, I learned a lot about wine during these shifts. Moreover, working at Wine Central significantly expanded my understanding of wine. I learned not only about the different types of wine but also about pairing them with various foods, enhancing the dining experience for guests. Besides, these shifts also help me to know more about the dietary and the allergy, which are less mentioned in the classes. Overall, this course is my favorite course not only for learning the knowledge of wine but also for having practical shifts to make me learn in the workplace and try to be more professional in the food and beverage industry. (三)生活環境

The location of the campus was changed two years before, the new location is closer to the city center, and all the classrooms and the equipment are new, which made students learn in a better environment. The accommodation is located in the city, about a ten-minute walk from the accommodation to the campus, also, the shopping mall and the supermarket are only a five-minute walk away from the accommodation, so it's easy for the students to buy food or other things necessary for living. Also, both the train station and the tram station are just in front of the accommodation, so that it's convenient for travel, too. The name of the student accommodation I live in is Scape, which is one of the biggest student accommodations in Australia, the room type is shared apartment, and there are also some basic public facilities such as the washing machines, study room, gym, and entertainment space so that student don't need to worry about these problems. The weather in Adelaide is good, it's drier than in Taiwan, though I arrived in winter, the apparent temperature is not as cold as winter in Tamsui, but the ultraviolet index is higher than in Taiwan, so it's important to put on the sunscreen even in the winter. Though Adelaide is not as busy as other cities like Sydney or Melbourne, life in Adelaide is still interesting, the lifestyle is more relaxed and slow, which also is the reason I like this city more than others. (四)自我成長

The most difficult challenge for me is the culture, for example, Australia uses the left-hand traffic which is different from Taiwan, therefore, everything will be the opposite, and it confuses me in the first month. Second, I always get cold water when I eat out in a restaurant, every restaurant offers tap or sparkling water, but all the water is as cold as just taken out from the refrigerator, this is one of the cultures I still couldn't get used to. The last one also the hardest to adapt to is the food, though the steak or the chips taste good, I still miss the food in Taiwan, and it's hard to find Taiwanese food in Adelaide, so the first month is the hardest for me. As for the class, I am glad we had the English teaching courses before because it helped me to adapt using English to learning so that I don't need to worry about the language barriers when I study abroad. However, compared to listening and reading, speaking is the most difficult for me, because most of the time I was listening in classes instead of speaking out, thus, I tried harder after I realized this problem. The most helpful way is to speak out, I am lucky to make a new friend in college, and we often practice English together, so my speaking ability has improved a lot. Also, the practical courses forced me to talk to people, and I think this is the reason to more influenced by English. (255字)

(五)大三出國建議

There is some advice for junior students. Before getting abroad, first, prepare everything early, for example, the English test, and the information to apply for the college/university. Second, research everything including the school, the living, and the country you will stay in because these are the places you will remain for at least half a year. During the period abroad, except for the study or internship, remember to keep some time to explore the city or the countries, because it's a precious chance to visit there when we are still students. As for the place to study, I strongly recommend Australia, the biggest reason is there are lots of international students so there are lots of events for the students and also the people there are very friendly, too. Besides, more and more people have been coming to Australia in recent years, so there are lots of different countries people which makes this country more diversified, therefore, it's easier to know these cultures in Australia. About the college, the International College of Hospitality Management is a good choice of college for hospitality management for students, for the first six months, we have three required subjects in the college, and these are the courses that are helpful to students before we have the internship, all these courses are including the theory classes and the practical classes, so that we could test ourselves whether we understand or not. After that, we could have an internship at a famous hotel, it's a great chance for us to gain experience and learn. (259字)

(六)其他

During the short vacation in the first semester, I with my classmates planned for a seven-road trip to visit the most famous attraction, Uluru. I think this will be the most unforgettable memory for me in Australia, we even booked the study room from college and discussed everything for this trip, we only took three days to discuss this trip, and these three days I feel I was doing some report just like the courses in Tamkang University, but it's an interesting experience, and it will be the best travel experience for now in my life.
