I am a exchange student in Laurea university of applied sciences, Finland. In Laurea my major is hospitality managerment.(19字)

(二)課程學習

In my opinion, I would like Business Events (BE) Experiences TO00BX26-3001. In this class, we visited a popular hotel near Helsinki airport in Finland. Clarion hotel has a wonderful location. It is located in the district of Aviapolis, 2km from the airport terminals and just a few train stations from the Aviapolis station. Also, if someone wants to go to the Helsinki Central area. Taking the I and P trains just takes 30 minutes. It is really convenient for customers. Furthermore, there are many facilities in this hotel, such as gym, bar and living room. In Particular, some companies can meet in a meeting room or conference. When I visit their rooms, I feel relaxed and comfortable. Therefore, I can promise that people will pay attention when they meet there. There are different types of rooms in the Clarion hotel, including standard double, standard twin, superior double, deluxe double, family room and suit. In Taiwan, I had experience of working in a hotel. Also my major is tourism, this event is really helpful for my future career. I understand a lot of parts about organizing one hotel. Additionally, I like the design of the hotel. When I go into this hotel, I feel that I am back home. This is one important thing for one company. In my opinion, some styles are different between my home country and Finland. For example, in Taiwan hotels' architectural styles are more traditional and motifs are characteristic of our culture. On the other hand, Finnish hotels often embrace modern and functional design. Clean lines, minimalist aesthetics, and a connection to nature might be noticeable, reflecting the overall design ethos in Finland. Second is Hospitality Practices Taiwanese hospitality may emphasize warmth, friendliness, and attention to detail. Personalized service and a focus on guest comfort could be key aspects. However, Finnish hospitality is known for efficiency and respect for privacy. Hotels may provide excellent service without being overly formal, and there's an emphasis on a calm and unintrusive environment. Overall, I plan to work in the hotel industry and be a manager. This event gave me a wonderful experience to understand what kind of main part in one hotel. Also, let me gain some professional knowledge. Finally, understanding the difference between Asia and Erupe in hotels is critical. Globalization and the exchange of design trends also contribute to a diverse range of hotel experiences in both countries. (402字)

Helsinki's universities typically have cooperative rental companies, but I rented a place on my own. There's a bus stop within 1-3 minutes walking distance, and the train station isn't far either. Finland's accommodation environment is very good, usually with laundry rooms and saunas. Near residential areas, there are small supermarkets and bus stops. Finland has good public safety, so I don't feel afraid when coming home late at night. As for the climate, about half of the time it's snowing. If you're afraid of cold, it's better to avoid choosing Nordic countries. The temperature often drops below 0 degrees. I suggest buying snow boots because walking can be slippery when the snow melts. By the way, local people here are so nice, so don't be afraid when ask questions with their. As for meals, it's usually cooking by yourself because restaurant prices outside are more than three times higher than in Taiwan. I would suggest, people who want to save money can cook for themselves. Major department stores have large supermarkets where prices are relatively cheaper. Helsinki's transportation is very convenient. Students can usually apply for a student monthly pass, which is much cheaper. Different areas have different prices, and the price difference for a month is quite large, nearly 650 Taiwanese dollars. However, fare evasion is common in Europe, but ticket inspections in Finland are quite strict. If caught evading fare, you will be fined 100 euros. If I go to airport, I just spent 1 hour. For me, it is not a problem. (251字)

Studying and living in Finland may present various challenges, but there are ways to overcome them. Finland's climate can be challenging for many people. Wearing appropriate clothing, including warm coats, hats, gloves, and boots, can help you stay comfortable during the cold winters. While most Finns speak English, learning some basic Finnish can help you better integrate into the local society and culture. Building friendships with other international students and locals can help you feel more comfortable and secure in a foreign country. Participating in school or community activities can help expand your social circle. Studying abroad can bring academic pressure, especially when facing new teaching styles and languages. Developing good time management skills, seeking help early, and maintaining good communication with professors and classmates can help. Finland and Taiwan have many cultural differences. Finland emphasizes individualism and equality, focusing on personal freedom and independence. In contrast, Taiwan values collectivism and family values, emphasizing teamwork and the importance of family relationships. In Finland, important holidays include the Winter Solstice and Christmas, celebrated with family gatherings, gift exchanges, and traditional cuisine. In Taiwan, Lunar New Year is a major holiday, marked by family reunions, ancestor worship, and fireworks. Finns tend to be straightforward and value directness in communication, while respecting personal space and privacy. Taiwanese people, on the other hand, prioritize politeness and "face," often communicating in a more indirect manner and placing importance on interpersonal relationships and social interactions. Finally, finns prefer meat and fish, especially enjoying hot soups and drinks during the cold winters. In contrast, Taiwanese cuisine revolves around rice, vegetables, and seafood, with a wide variety of street snacks and specialty drinks. (275字)

1. Start preparing early, including visa applications, school documents, health insurance, etc. Make sure you have all the necessary documents and information to avoid problems before departure. 2. Learn about the culture, lifestyle, climate, etc., of the destination country in detail. This will help you better adapt to local life and environment. 3. Establish a support system at the destination, including contacts with other international students, the school's international student services department, and local residents. This will help you feel safer and more comfortable in a foreign country. 4. Embrace new cultures and experiences, keep an open mind, and be willing to accept differences. This will help you better integrate into the local society and have a rich study abroad experience. 5. Ensure your financial arrangements are in order, including budget planning, currency exchange, payment methods, etc. Avoid financial problems that may affect your study abroad experience. 6. Stay in close contact with family, friends, and the school, sharing your study abroad experience, difficulties, and joys. This will help you feel more supported and connected during your study abroad. 7. Participate in school and community activities, expand your social circle, make new friends, and actively explore the local culture and attractions. Overall, enjoy this study abroad experience and learn and grow from it. Studying abroad is a valuable opportunity to broaden your horizons, build confidence, and form deep friendships with people from around the world. If you want to travel in EU, you can choose UNI in EU, cause there are many LCC in EU. Therefore, you can save money when you study there.(257字)
