My favorite class is Geopolitics and Political Geography of World Regions. During this course I was learned about the phenomenon of regionalism in a historical and theoretical perspective with a focus on the role of regionalism in the world politics. Starting with the basic conceptualization of region, regionalism, regionalization, or globalism, this course explains historical eras, waves of economic and political integration, theoretical explanations of driving forces behind regional integration. Before I came to the Czech Republic, I was very interested in geopolitics, but it's worth mentioning that geopolitics seems to be very sought-after here, so I didn't manage to get into the geopolitics class of the Bachelor's program at the beginning, and only got into the Master's program by mistake. I was so nervous at first that I couldn't keep up with the course. I hadn't taken a class on this topic before, let alone a master's. I was so nervous that I couldn't keep up with the class. However, the atmosphere in the classroom was very good, which made me relax. The teacher and classmates would discuss topics that we were interested in together, and everyone was brave enough to speak up. I learned a lot of new things in this class, and I have a better understanding of regionalism and the importance of geopolitics!(217字)

Charles University is very different from Asian campuses in that not all the faculties are on the same campus, but are spread out all over Prague, which is interesting, but can also be a bit of a hassle when choosing classes. Our regular class is at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Jinonice metro station, which is very new and a great experience. Our accommodation is located in Prague 6, which is within a 10 minute walk of the metro station Petřiny and the tram station vypich, so it's quite easy to get around. Dormitories are available in single or double rooms, and each floor has two kitchens and male and female bathrooms. The dormitory provides a bed sheet change service once every two weeks, has a paid washing machine, and you can borrow simple cleaning tools such as mops and vacuum cleaners from the administrators. There are also several study rooms and vending machines on the first floor of the dormitory. Although it is quite old, it is very convenient. Nearby are Billa and Lidl supermarkets, where you can buy your daily necessities and simple daily necessities, and a 10-minute walk away is dm, a Watsons-like store, where you can buy daily necessities. The climate in Prague is continental, with four distinct seasons, a big difference in temperature between morning and evening, and it is also very dry, so you should moisturize well!(234字)

The Czech Republic is a very tolerant country, people are very friendly, my friends and I have never encountered any discriminatory behavior, and the prevalence of English is very high, you can still live well without knowing Czech! The young people here and most of the shopkeepers speak English. As for the culture shock part, I think it's acceptable. It's worth mentioning that the accommodation here is co-educational, and although the bathrooms and toilets are gender-specific, people hardly care about the gender issue, so you need to protect yourself. However, it is very difficult to find toilets outside and almost all of them charge a fee. But the nice thing is that cars in Prague always yield to pedestrians, it's very different from Taiwan. As for School, I don't think there are any problems either. I'm used to teaching in English in Taiwan, the professors are very friendly, and we have a lot of exchange students at our school, so I don't feel nervous. During this year, I have become more independent, learned to face everything on my own, and become more interested in independent thinking and reflection. I've traveled to many countries and seen many places that were only in textbooks before, and it's amazing to me. I realized how much I still need to learn and how small I am in this big world. I have also become more confident in talking to foreigners and sharing their cultures and ideas, which has made me feel happy and grown up.(251字)

This is really a great opportunity to see the world and make new friends, so make sure you take advantage of it! I can't help fall in love with this city, every time when I go outside I’m amazing how beautiful here is, everywhere you can see are full with history! You can get an ESN card, which will give you 4 cheaper tickets and a free 20kg check-in on Ryanair, and a 10%-15% discount on flixbus. You can take advantage of your vacation to visit other countries and enjoy the beauty of the world! However, it is important to note that the roads in Prague and even other European cities are very steep, especially in the Old Town area, because of the old stone roads, so try to wear good walking shoes when you go out. You don't have to swipe your card to get on and off the bus, but make sure you buy a ticket and don't leave it to chance! There are always ticket inspectors, and if you are caught, you will be fined about 1,400 TWD.(180字)
