(一)基本資料

The school where I studied in Spain is the University of Murcia. This is a university rich in history, as can be seen from the school emblem dating back to 1272. The school is located in the southeastern part of Spain, in the city of Murcia, in the province of Murcia. Usually local people in Spain say that the Murcia people have the worst accent, often omitting the final sounds and so on. The school has several campuses, the three main campuses are La merce, Espinardo and the campus for language classes.(91字)

Courses taken throughout the year include Business management, Human recourse management, Labor law, Mathematics for Business, Strategic management, Balance sheet analysis, Operations management, Financial economics and Econometrics. When I was studying Labor law, although it was taught in English, it was a Spanish course after all, so what I learned was Spanish labor law. Because of these differences, I found that if I didn’t take these courses in a mainstream country, the content I learned might not be available in the future, and will be more difficult to use. Some theories are also taught using Spanish domestic theories, such as the preparation methods of financial statements. If you take a class in your freshman year, you will find that the professor's teaching method is different. The higher the grade, the less concerned the teacher is about the student's reaction to the class. The amazing thing is that the attendance rate of Spanish students is very low, but they can still achieve very good grades. However, I did not have the opportunity to get to know them more, so I did not learn their studying skills. In fact, for me, there is no obvious difference between going abroad and studying in Taiwan. Classes are all taught in English, and our department at Tamkang University also teaches in English, so there is no difference. The biggest difference is probably that my classmates are all foreigners, but I am not a social person, so where are my classmates from is not much differences. The University of Murcia puts exchange students under the department, so there are still students who are Spanish. The exchange students are not in another class like some schools, and the class method is not particularly accommodating just because they are exchange students. My favorite class is Operations management in the second semester, taught by MARIA PEMARTIN GONZALEZ-ADALID. The teacher is very attentive in class and keeps a lot of thick notes. The class atmosphere is very joyful and the content is interesting. She also arranges some activities for us to learn about practical examples.(346字)

(三)生活環境

What I like most is the weather in Spain. It doesn’t rain very often, and when the weather is very hot, you won’t feel sticky like you do in Taiwan when you sweat. Spain has a big temperature difference between day and night, sometimes about 20 degrees. At night the temperature is in the single digits, and the hottest temperature is in the 20s. The University of Murcia is located 30 minutes away from the city center. The campus where I mainly attend classes is Espinardo. This campus has a football field and a playground, as well as many teaching buildings. There are many lecture theaters, which are larger than the lecture theaters in Tamkang. , each department has its own cafe, the food is delicious and cheaper than outside restaurants. In Spain, I almost cook my own food everyday. If eating in the restaurant, it usually costs NT$300 to NT$500, a pasta costs about the same. To be honest, Murcia is very boring. There are two relatively large shopping malls, but they are a bit far from the city center. There are some brands and a British Palace (department store) in the city center, such as Zara, pull and bear. Murcia is much safer than other big cities, but there are still cases where someone’s cell phone is stolen. For supermarkets, they usually go to Mercadona. There are also Carrefour and Alcampo (another hypermarket) within easy reach of the light rail. I don’t live in the school’s dormitory, but rent a house. Because there are no earthquakes in Spain, the wall structure here is very simple, resulting in poor sound insulation. I can clearly hear the phone calls next door and the noise of the neighbor’s children. There are classmates who live in the dormitory said that the dormitory is also in the same situation.(309字)

For me, the class method is not much different from Taiwan, so I didn't encounter any difficulties. However, because I am doing exchange in Spain, it is inevitable that some courses, such as labor law, will be more focused in Spain. Domestic laws are compared to those of major countries that are more mainstream in modern society. The laws used or the methods of compiling financial reports may be used for reference by many countries. This is a shortcoming of exchange in Spain in my opinion. In addition, we did encounter some difficulties in terms of rewards for studying. During class, it was obvious that the attendance rate of Spanish students was very low, but they could still achieve very good results. However, even though I stayed up late studying and read my notes many times, my results were still not ideal. The difference in life and culture that has the greatest impact on me is "eating time". The lunch time in Spain is around 2pm. If I don't cook lunch myself, I can only eat small things to fill my stomach a little bit, otherwise I will be very hungry. Dinner time is also later than Taiwan’s dinner time. It is around 8 pm. Although it is a little late, the advantage is that there are restaurants still open very late at night, so it is possible to go drink beer, eat cheese and bacon. In addition, most shops in European countries are closed on Sundays, and only restaurants are open. Sometimes you need to buy food in advance, but some supermarkets are open on Sunday mornings so that families in need can still buy the things they need. In Spain, we need to buy things like scissors and digital locks and so on, we have to go to hardware stores which are all run by Chinese people. It makes me wonder, "If there were no Chinese, wouldn't the Spanish sell these things themselves?"(325字)

(五)大三出國建議

After a year of baptism, I feel that when I want to study by myself for a long time, I have to choose the subject that I like and interested in, otherwise I will be really tired from studying. In addition, the language I use is not my mother tongue. When I encounter some proper nouns, there are some of the corresponding translations can be found, and some cannot. Sometimes I find it annoying and tiring to study alone. But I'm very grateful to have had this experience during this year. I took some classes that I didn't like very much and didn't have a sense of accomplishment. Thus, I have a better understanding of which path I want to take and which subjects I prefer. I was not very sure about the direction of the graduate school, but after this year, I know which subject I will go to. The most important suggestion is to find a dormitory first when you are seeking accommodation, because the housing markets in other countries are unknown, and you might not know what the local customs are, such as laws, residence permits, residence certificates, etc. Since the dormitory is affiliated with the school, Therefore, the help received will be more direct, and the school itself will not cheat its students. However, the real estate agent is a businessman and will not be as benevolent as the school. Of course, it is another matter if you meet a good real estate agent. If there is no choice in the end, you have to find an agent to rent accommodation, there are some tips to help you avoid problems, find a chain and large company will be more systematic. It knows the information about the house, for instance, the utilities and the address. My experience is I ordered a package and sent it to my place, the post code given by the landlord was wrong, and then my package was returned to the transportation center.(330字)
