(一)基本資料
I am a senior student in the Department of Political Science and Economics. I came to the Czech Republic to study for a year at Charles University in 2023. The reason I chose to come to the Czech Republic at first was because the tuition fees were cheaper compared to other countries. It has been seven months since I came to the Czech Republic. Well, Prague is really a beautiful city with convenient transportation and cheap prices. The school environment is also very good, especially the Academy of Social Sciences is a newly built building and the library is very suitable for studying. I have been to many countries, but I still think the Czech Republic is the best.

(二)課程學習
【照片說明:learning sheet】
My favorite class is learning the Czech language. The teacher’s class method is very interesting and exciting. In every class, you will be randomly called to answer questions, so you must concentrate on the class. In class, we start teaching from pronunciation. Czech language starts from pronunciation. It’s not just a simple language. We also learned numbers, various adjectives, food, places, and how to ask others for directions. We also learned about the changes in masculine and feminine genders, which I think is the most difficult part. During class, the teacher will also prepare many small games for us to communicate with classmates in class, including self-introduction and so on. Every class will let us practice speaking Czech. I like the teacher's teaching method very much. It is lively and interesting, although sometimes it can be very nervous. Although I have only taken one semester of Czech and still can’t understand Czech, I think that one semester of classes will allow me to learn some things that I will use in life, such as: hello, thank you, goodbye, how much is it? ,Where? Practical sentences such as etc. I recommend teacher Barbora’s class. The teacher will wait patiently for you to answer the questions. If you don't know how, the teacher will guide you in the right direction. If you answer correctly, the teacher will also praise you generously. There are assignments almost every week, and we will review the assignments with everyone during class. Sometimes when we have to interact with classmates and speak Czech in class, the teacher will pretend to be our friends and practice with us. I think it is Very kind teacher. The oral exam at the end of the semester is not particularly difficult. The teacher will give you reminders if you encounter words that you don’t know or have forgotten. Of course, the teacher will also be generous in giving points.

(三)生活環境
Because the School of Social Sciences is a newly built building, the classrooms are large and clean, making it a very suitable place for class atmosphere. The most important thing is that the new library is really suitable for reading. Whether it is open seating or a small reading room, you can use it by changing your ID, which is very convenient. Although the dormitory is a bit old and the space of the double room is small, the furniture commonly used in daily life is provided, and there is also a refrigerator. Although when cooking, you have to share the kitchen with many people, and sometimes you have to wait a long time to cook, but it is still convenient. Although the privacy protection in the toilet is not sufficient, it is still sufficient. The only thing I hope is that the school can strictly enforce the separation of men and women. This is more inconvenient for us. Although there is no water dispenser in the dormitory, there are small water dispensers that are free for students, and even sparkling water! The area around the dormitory is also very convenient. There are two or three supermarkets, and the subway station and bus station can be reached within ten minutes on foot. Although it is in the suburbs, it is relatively safe because it is a residential area nearby. In summary, the Czech Republic is a very convenient city. You don’t have to worry about eating. The ingredients you can buy in supermarkets are relatively cheap, and the weather is quite comfortable, except for the fact that it is a bit cold in winter.

(四)自我成長
I actually think that living in Prague will not encounter any difficulties. It is a very livable city. Prague is very small and the transportation is very convenient. You only need to use Google Maps to get anywhere. Basically, there are no places that are difficult to reach. If you are not used to eating, you can buy food in the supermarket and cook it yourself. There are many small Vietnamese supermarkets in Prague, where you can buy Asian food with strong seasoning, as well as Korean instant noodles, etc., so there is basically no need to worry. Additionally, Prague offers a variety of international restaurants, so you can easily find something to suit your tastes. Although Czech people don’t seem to like to speak English very much, and their English proficiency is generally not very good, as long as you say hello and thank you to them in Czech and show your kindness, they will respond patiently to you. Moreover, many younger Czechs and people in the service industry, especially in tourist areas, do speak English, so communication is often manageable. Prague is also known for its rich history and beautiful architecture, making it not only convenient but also a culturally enriching place to live. Overall, the combination of excellent public transport, availability of diverse foods, and friendly locals makes Prague a very comfortable place to reside.

(五)大三出國建議
All in all, if my fellow students ask me if I recommend coming to the Czech Republic for exchange, I will enthusiastically encourage them to do so. Life here is easy and not overly burdensome, allowing for a relaxed and enjoyable experience. The atmosphere is very free, which fosters a sense of independence and confidence that can be incredibly valuable for personal growth. The Czech Republic offers a unique blend of historical charm and modern convenience, making it a fascinating place to explore. From the stunning architecture of Prague to the picturesque countryside, there is always something new to discover. Moreover, the educational system here is robust and engaging, providing a high-quality learning environment. The opportunity to immerse oneself in a different culture and learn a new language is an invaluable experience that broadens one’s horizons and enhances global understanding. The local people are generally welcoming and friendly, making it easier to adjust and feel at home. The world is a big place, and not every destination may feel like a perfect fit for everyone, but I genuinely believe that the Czech Republic has something special to offer. Whether it’s the vibrant cultural scene, the rich history, or the opportunity to meet people from all over the world, the Czech Republic is a place I would love to come back to again. It’s a country where one can grow both academically and personally, and I highly recommend it to anyone considering an exchange program.
